Alex makes things happen

Being a good public speaker has given me so much...

Introvert. Non-native speaker. Chubby kid. Shy.
That's not how you'd describe a public speaking coach, right?

And yet I've been on TV and radio, got paid to speak, was an International Public Speaking Competition finalist. All thanks to being able to make myself heard.

Here are a few more examples:

School Years (1998-2009)

I was 7 years old when I got on the stage for the first time. It was a poetry recital competition, I came third. I liked it.

Over the next 10 years, I spent half my school time on stage:

🎭 School drama production
🎭 Stand up and comedy nights
🎭 Music school with 4 years piano and choir
🎭 Extra-curriculum TV School
🎭 Acting and Debates classes

Thanks to all these years on stage, I earned a full-tuition scholarship to one of the most prestigious universities in the country.

University Years (2009-2014)

5 years at the School of Journalism where I studied Public Relations really made me appreciate the power of both spoken and written word.

I was given many opportunities to diversify my skills:

🎤 Working with the camera
🎤 Hosting TV and radio shows
🎤 Celebrity interviews
🎤 Invitation to the International Students Festival in Norway
🎤 Mentoring younger journalists
🎤 First public workshops

I also got on the global stage for the first time: I was selected to represent my country at the International Public Speaking Competition.

Adidas Years (2014-2018)

I got hired at adidas as an e-commerce copywriter shortly after Uni. After just 9 months in that role, I attended a career-changing corporate party.

One conversation resulted in:

🏆 Promotion that doubled my salary
🏆 Becoming a person connecting adidas teams in 4 countries
🏆 Invitations to speak at global adidas summits with 100+ participants
🏆 Invitations to run workshops and training sessions for adidas employees

I got so into sports that I interviewed to volunteer at the FIFA World Cup and secured of the most desired positions, working directly with the teams.

Digital Nomad Years (2018-2024)

As much as I loved my job, I didn't feel like corporate life was for me. So I quit and accepted an offer to work as an English teacher in Vietnam.

I've never regretted this decision because I:

🌏 Learned a lot about teaching different age groups
🌏 Had so much fun organising speaking and cultural workshops
🌏 Got more into brand marketing and got to work with Fortune 500 clients
🌏 Travelled to 30+ countries
🌏 Met my now-husband

In September 2023, I organised my first public speaking workshop. Many people encouraged me to become a public speaking coach, so I thought - why not?

Public Speaking as Lifestyle (2023-Now)

Ever since that workshop, I've nurtured the idea to transition into the public speaking space more seriously. I started working on my website straight away, but the timing wasn't right.

It took me another year to take the leap and begin to call myself a Public Speaking Coach.

Here's what I'm doing now and what I'm working on to launch soon:

🌟 1:1 Online Consultations to help overcome speaking and social naxiety
🌟 YouTube channel with educational videos
🌟 Online self-paced course on Public Speaking Foundationals
🌟 Collaboration with TedX
🌟 Online group coaching

I'm very excited to share my experience and expertise with you so you can enjoy the benefits of being a good speaker as much as I have.
